For a class assignment, we recorded various street sounds as well as some street interviews in which we asked people to reveal their “deep dark secrets.” Here’s the result: an audio piece I edited in about 15 minutes in class (it’s rough).

This is great! You managed to do way more than I did in the 15 minutes we had to put this together. I really liked how you started it with just his voice and then added in the looped elevator and guitar, kind of dragging out the rest of the secret by just revealing a piece at a time. It definitely grabbed my attention right away and kept me wanting to hear more. I thought it was a little bit suspenseful – “deep dark secret!” – but also playful and funny.
Oh! / It’s so great / revealing the secret / following the rhythm / yeah yeah! How did you do that / without too many tracks involved? / Amazing / !
hey — this came out great. sounds like you have a knack for aural portraiture!
HILARIOUS ! and the ambience kinda reminds me of some old movie theme where the speaker is sitting by the train track, revealing his secret during lunch break. great work laying this piece together !
